This grantee has been successful in collaborating with legal service, nonprofit, and educational partners. This grantee has also implemented a 6-month training schedule for project participants that consists of workshops on credit cards, predatory lending, business, home buyer education, and EITC.
Broward County Board of Commissioners Human Service Department partners with Urban League of Broward County, United Way of Broward County, Workforce One, Inc., BankAtlantic, Branch Banking & Trust, Gibraltar Private Bank, BankUnited, city of Hollywood, ACCION USA, Coalition on Racial Equality, TNG Associates, Broward Housing Solutions, Law Offices of Richard Blake, Hispanic Unity of Florida, Inc., Consolidated Credit Counseling, Ft. Lauderdale Housing Authority, Keiser University, IRS, and Children's Services Council to provide case management, financial literacy training, EITC, local public awareness campaigns, marketing, credit counseling, homeownership counseling, business training, and education counseling.
