The Board of Commissioners operates its AFI-funded assets-building program through the Broward Wealth Building Coalition, a partnership of 20 faith/community-based, nonprofit, business, quasigovernmental, and governmental organizations. This grantee has been successful in collaborating with legal service, nonprofit, and educational partners. This grantee has also implemented a 6-month training schedule for project participants that consists of workshops on credit cards, predatory lending, business, home buyer education, and EITC.
