Cook Inlet Lending Center, Inc.

Cook Inlet Lending Center is a certified Community Development Financial Institution that has provided two AFI grants since 2008, with the objective of promoting access to safe, affordable, quality housing throughout south-central Alaska.

The center emphasizes homeownership, with the goal of increasing the number of IDA savers who purchase their first homes. The center has been successful in hiring staff, securing non-Federal funds, and establishing the Project Reserve Fund.

Partners

The center partners with the Cook Inlet Housing Authority, providing management of the Project Reserve Fund; Cook Inlet Real Estate Services, providing homeownership opportunities and guidance; Cook Inlet Tribal Council, providing advice and experience administering the IDA program; and Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Alaska, providing credit and budget counseling.

Focus Population
