New Website Encourages Americans to be "Smart About Money"

The National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) is encouraging Americans to achieve their financial goals by launching the “Smart About Money” website. This website is designed to help consumers cope with the many financial challenges they will face in their lifetime.

The Smart About Money website (SmartAboutMoney.org) supports people in some of the most critical moments in their lives by offering numerous materials to aid them in gaining control of their finances. Moments of personal transition in particular—starting a new job, buying a home, or saving for a child’s college education—require individuals to make difficult financial decisions. The “Smart About Money” website provides sound resources and advice that apply to many money-management challenges, covering everything from getting out of debt to saving for the future.

NEFE is a private, non-profit, foundation dedicated to improving the financial well-being of all Americans. SmartAboutMoney.org is one of several useful websites NEFE maintains to further financial literacy and help users address personal finance issues.
