Featuring an Effective IDA Website – Valley Individual Development Account ProgramOne way to learn more about AFI-funded IDA projects across the nation is to take a look at their websites. In the coming weeks we will regularly feature great program websites. One such website is that of the Valley Individual Development Account Program (VIDA). VIDA is an IDA project managed by CASA of Oregon. Their easy to navigate website provides a good introduction to both IDAs in general and their program. In doing so, VIDA discusses program basics and highlights impacts. The VIDA website also includes several success stories that both inspire potential participants and demonstrate their impacts to funders. One featured success story focuses on a woman who, with her kids, fled an abusive relationship only to wind up deep in credit card debt. After being referred by another agency, the VIDA program provided financial training that helped her manage her debt, and assistance that eventually led to her buying a home. To learn more about the VIDA program, check out their website today.
