Innovative New Web Site Helps CFED and its Partners Fight PovertyThe CFED is a national organization that develops and supports ground-breaking policies to help individuals and families escape the cycle of poverty. Recently, CFED launched a new Web site that features resources and research for anyone interested in economic development and asset building policies, including Individual Development Accounts. The site presents information on four priority areas: savings and financial security, affordable housing, entrepreneurship, and economic development. In addition to information on IDAs, it also features information on other innovative strategies including Children’s Development Accounts (CDAs) and tax credits like the Self Employment Tax Initiative (SETI). From academic theories to the most applicable strategies, the new site offers valuable resources for individual and community empowerment. It is designed to help realize “the promise of tomorrow in the world today.” Take a look at the new site and sign up to stay informed at http://www.cfed.org/.
